Things to Consider

Ceiling Height: If the venue has low ceilings, then you might want to consider no more than 3 balloons on each table. If the ceilings are quite high, then more balloons will help to make the venue more intimate.

Budget: Knowing how to budget for balloon decoration can be difficult if you’ve never had balloon decoration before. One starting point in determining a budget may be to decide how much you are prepared to spend per table including any centrepieces (i.e. A unique table arrangement or flowers, etc.).

Areas of Interest: Typically, it is advised that you concentrate the decoration on certain areas. For a wedding these areas are the Top Table, the guests tables, the dance floor and the entrance. For a dinner/dance the areas of concentration are the entrance, guests tables and stage/dance floor area.

Colour and Unity: Uniformity in colour, shape and size of your decoration makes all the difference to the impact it will have on the guests. A professional look comes from having the balloons all the same size and linking up the colours of the table centres and linen with the balloons. Attention to detail does pay off in the end.

Room Availability & Rigging: It is wise to know how much time before the event the room is available for the decoration to be installed. Sometimes constraints on time do not allow for certain types of decoration. Permission is sometimes needed for special rigging of some balloon displays. It is always better to enquire beforehand to avoid any problems on the day.

Deposits: Sometimes it is necessary to ask for security deposits on certain items like frames, base plates and poles. These are items that the decorator needs to have returned after the event. These deposits will be discussed at the time of consultation.
